On my last trip to Goa, I saw this graffiti on one of the walls – Goa is like a fridge, everyone is just chilling here. That pretty much sums up what we feel when in Goa. Some of us long for a holiday where we just relax without having a list of ‘to do’ things, have loads of good, local food, and just chill with friends. Of course, the place has to be picturesque for most of us. Well, different things work for different people, for some having great food is essential whilst for others, a good service in the hotel has to be a ‘must’. Trying to please all at the same time, isn’t easy but this place, Alila Diwa Goa, that I came across, ticks most of the criteria and I had to just had to share it with you.
Set amidst lush green paddy fields, the property boasts of best of contemporary Goan architecture with rich cultural traditions, the property takes great pride in being sustainable. High pitched roofs and wide verandahs combine with the subtle shades of teak, local red laterite stone, open-sided walls and brass lanterns, which give a soft magical glow at night. You could also take one of their Spice Plantation tours. You could buy freshly processed spices from the plantation, and back at the resort, the chef will show you how to rustle up a scrumptious meal using your collection. I’d be excited…something about culinary tours :).One more thing to do – make sure you take the treehouse dining experience.
Here’s a peak at what you can expect:
Serene and tranquil amidst lush greenery, the Alila Diwa is an experience you would love. So book your holiday – Goa beckons!
