The Monsoon colours

The end of the scorching summers, the beginning of the monsoon season, also the times for enjoying ‘chai’ in transparent glasses, accompanied with pakoras, samosas perhaps seated on your favourite  window sill with a book in hand, whilst enjoying the ‘pitter-patter’ of rain drops. This, is monsoon for me..the constant rain, along with splashes of the happy monsoon colours, ranging from the bright pinks, light purple, the earthy and fresh greens to the vibrant orange and yellow…in my wardrobe and my home.

It’s the end of the long hot days, a break from the pastel colours too…I am dragging out the ‘basanti’ pinks and the greens’ out of my closet, ‘cos it’s the season to stand out, get soaked, sing and be happy. Some inspirations for you people while you carry on enjoying the rains, the burst of colours and scrumptious food…

This is post is all about inspirations and getting to love colour in all it’s splendour! So, did these pictures urge you to take that fabric in a stunning fuchsia pink or bright green out of your wardrobe? How about that dull mehndi green saree? Pair it with a bright pink blouse and stand out against the dull grey sky. Don’t hide away your greens and pinks…wear them and shout ‘happy monsoons’! I sign off with this song from the film, 1942: a love story…rim-jhim, rim-jhim…rum-jhum, rum-jhum…bheegi-bheegi rut mein…tum-hum, hum -tum
