It’s almost coming to the end of summer and to be honest, I am looking forward to a bit of chill in the air, bursts of orange and stunning yellows, the almost bare trees, seeing flocks of birds flying away towards hotter weather…it’s always so picturesque and if I were a painter, I would have captured it all on my canvas! But that’s not how it is! So, here I am, simply trying to weave a picture with some words instead. I reckon the change in the spectrum outside is nature’s way of announcing to us that it’s time to brighten up our homes to be in sync with nature; the brighter, pretty, happy look; and I am not one to disobey…so, this post is dedicated to some fun, quirky and colourful accessories from some of the nicest independent stores, that we could lay our hands on, for you lovely people to ‘re-accessorise’ your already gorgeous home.
I am well aware that we are overly enthusiastic about ancient crafts and skills of India and can talk about this part of our history until the cows come home; this along with leading a holistic lifestyle for everyone and anyone who can spare a few minutes from their busy routines to listen to our take on what it takes to be heathy, happy and content! However, some of our very loyal readers have asked us to occasionally write about a selection of independent retailers, designers and artisans too and we agree that is an absolutely brilliant idea, as anyway, we work behind the scenes to find such talent and stores, it would be rather nice to share this information with you all too! So, without further ado, we present to you some products from amazing independent retailers, that we would love you to have in your homes this autumn, to accessorise your home. We so do sincerely hope that you enjoy this little virtual window shopping extravaganza with us. Keep sitting and enjoy!
So many products to choose from! Who ever said making choices was easy! Lots of stores with lots of kinds of products; Infact, my sister recently went into ‘Desi Pop‘, a beautiful and happy store, in Delhi. She came back with a couple of stunning bags for us, some amazing coasters and an absolutely out-of-this-world serving tray. Highly recommended, do have a peep, if you are in Delhi.
Is there enough in here to get you into the mood for bringing in some quaint, bright, quirky accessories into your home? I certainly am looking to add a bit of colour. For me, it will be shades of orange and green. What will it be for you? Have a look at these lovely, independent stores and go get what your heart fancies. Make a mental note of these names, I say:
We promise to regularly keep sharing more such names of stores, designers and artisans with you. Happy shopping and please do keep supporting these lovely, independent retailers!
