Warning for all wheat haters: Glance through this post with caution as simply reading about bread may well serve as the catalyst towards breaking the awkward silence between you and that innocent slice of bread! For all others, the instructions are to get yourself a cuppa, a slice of freshly toasted bread, liberally spread with butter and of course some (or lots of!) ground pepper. Now, retreat to a corner and read on….
Bread and butter may be the ‘go to’ meal option for a lot of busy (some say ‘lazy’) folks. Whatever your reason, I am determined to show to you that it’s not only us, Indians who often, just love to have a nice, ‘feel good’ meal comprising of the ‘holy’ bread. ‘Bread omelette’, ‘Aaloo toasties‘, ‘Vada pav’ are some of our favourites, which mind you, have also found a place across the world. Now, that’s saying something too…
People all over the world love bread. I know, there is a world of ‘bread haters’ out there too but I think the bread industry is doing pretty good so I think it is fair to presume that there will be readers for this post 🙂 Without further ado, I present to you a few bread recipes (where bread (in the form of a slice or a roll, that’s it!) is clearly the main ingredient!) from across the continents…Sit tight and enjoy….

As seen above, there is ample evidence that the most delicious meals can be created using the most humble of ingredients, and in this case, the ‘mighty’ yet the ‘humble’ bread…of course, a logical extension to this would be wraps, pittas, baguettes and several more; but those I will keep for another post, for another time…
So, which ‘bready’ dish are you going to be making this weekend? I might go for the ‘bunny chow‘…I think the name is just marvellous though I might fill it with my favourite potato curry..carbs overload…I certainly don’t do anything halfway…do you? Signing off with this lovely track that was playing at the cafe round the corner…
